First and foremost, hi again. Long time no talk. To explain my absence, I can’t say much other than that I lost my creative motivation (and will to do anything other than sleep) in a combination of end of the year chaos and beginning of the year existential stress. Thanks to the break, though, I’m feeling rejuvenated and ready to show you guys all the fun things I’m working on this semester!
I wanted to use this post as an opportunity to announce my exciting new position as a campus rep for Rent the Runway! If you aren’t familiar with the company, RTR is an online clothing rental service that lets women rent designer clothing for affordable prices. You can either rent single items for special occasions or you can sign up under a membership and get an allotted amount of items to rent per month, depending on the membership. As a passionate ambassador for sustainability within the fashion industry, I love the vision behind Rent the Runway and how they are designed to reduce waste and excess buying.
Disclaimer: I did not mean for this to be a Valentine’s day look but as I am editing this, I realized that I am wearing red and this week is Valentine’s Day; therefore, here is an outfit idea for if you want to look like you accidentally dressed up for the “holiday.”
For this look, I’m wearing a red shearling coat (that I am madly in love with) from The Fifth Label that I rented through Rent the Runway. I wanted to keep the coat as the statement piece so I went with an all-white canvas underneath. My necklace and earrings are from Mejuri. All of my white pieces were bought a few years ago so I’m not able to link them, but I linked some similar pieces from sustainable brands below!
