Alright, so I may still have over a week left in Colorado, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not planning out every cold-weather outfit I’m going to wear when I get back to NYC. Winter has finally hit New York and I want to be as prepared as possible. I’m used to snow from living in Colorado most of my life, but I’ve heard that winters on the East Coast are a lot more brutal than the ones I’m used to. Plus it’s helping me get through my withdrawals of being away from the city. At the beginning of my break, it was great to get out of the craziness and just have some me-time to relax and refocus. But now that all my friends are gone and I don’t have much to do here (other than work), it’s dragging on a bit.
On that note, I can’t WAIT for next semester at FIT. This past semester was amazing and I love jumping right into classes for my major. And now that I’m starting to get the hang of navigating the city, NYC is starting to feel more and more like home.
I wanted to share with you guys some of the looks that are inspiring me to stay chic on the off times when I’m not cuddled up in my dorm doing homework or watching Netflix. Winter is one of the best times to really play with textures and prints because a lot of cold weather clothing tends to be neutral and makes for a great base to accessorize on.
