It’s crazy how much my blog and I have grown since I started it during the fall of my sophomore year. I started on Blogger posting dimly lit pictures of me in my room. Then I moved to WordPress and gradually started to learn the art of taking good OOTD pics. Now, I’m changing my name and moving to a .com (I’m official now!) When I first started out, I just did it because I thought blogging would be a fun thing to try for a while. Granted, it’s still just a hobby (I wish I got paid to blog), but to me, it’s more than that. My blog helped me to realize what I want to major in-what I want to do with my life. Who knows, I might not be going to FIT next year if it weren’t for the risk I took in making this blog. That being said, the name never really quite felt like it fit me. Something about Colorado Couture just wasn’t original or creative enough for me. So a few weeks ago, an amazing lady, Michelle from gurupress.co contacted me and offered to redesign my blog for free and naturally, I said yes! I then found out I had to move my blog to a .com format in order for the design to work. That’s when I found it was the perfect opportunity for a change. So now you might be thinking, why Millennial Chanel? It’s not quite as self-explanatory as Colorado Couture after all. I decided on this one because not only is Chanel my favorite haute couture brand ever, but it’s also one of the oldest and most well-known brands. I’m a millennial (actually I think I’m gen Z but it’s close enough) and I want my blog to be advertised as a millennial’s version of classic style with a twist, a millennial’s Chanel. And so the name was born. I know it’s gonna take a little bit of getting used to, it’s probably gonna take me quite a while to get used to as well, but hopefully you guys like the new name and the new site! Thank you so much for reading and supporting me!
