Even though the official start of spring is a month away, global warming decided to mess with us, and Colorado is having spring and summer temps already.
So I figured it would be fitting to make a post on how to dress for this weird transition weather. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m sure you all know that the key to constantly changing weather conditions is layers! Here are a few jacket and top layering ideas that will keep you warm but also on trend.
1.A huge trend that I’ve been seeing and loving lately is wearing a sweatshirt underneath an edgy leather jacket. This will definitely keep you warm and is the perfect mesh of comfy and cool.
2. Trench coats are the classic spring essential, but sometimes they can look too serious. Pairing one with a cute graphic tee puts a new twist on this classic.
3. If you don’t have a cargo jacket by now, there’s not much hope. A cargo jacket goes with everything, but my favorite thing to pair with one is a pretty lacy top to offset it’s roughness.
4. Bombers have been seen everywhere this past year, and this spring is no exception. I love the embroidered ones! Pair it with a simple strappy top to let the jacket shine.
5. And last, but not least, is one of the simplest but effective pairings I know. Button up shirts just work so well underneath bulkier layers like a sweater or knit cardigan. For an extra something, try adding a statement necklace to tie the look together.
