A new year means new beauty and fashion trends!
While there were some trends in 2016 that I hope continue over to 2017 (like bomber jackets and velvet booties), some have been so played out that they’d be better off staying where they came from (like lace up everything and cut-outs). I put together a little list of some of the trends I’m hoping to see and try out in 2017, let me know if you guys like any of these or if there’s ones that you like that aren’t included on this list.
1.Tie front blouses
Although I said that lace-up shirts are overdone and boring, the tie front blouse is a much more refined and feminine take on lace-up trends. Pick one with a sheer fabric or interesting ruffle detail for a real statement top.
Stripes have always been a closet staple, as they go with practically everything. But this year, take a new twist on the pattern and go towards thinner, pin-stripes for a more subtle look.
Francesca’s striped button down
While I’m not a huge fan of workout clothes outside of the gym, I can totally understand the idea behind this comfortable and easy trend. A piece with detail helps to take your look from the gym to the streets.

4. Statement shoes
I’ve always been a firm believer in the saying “shoes can make or break your outfit.” I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of graphic designs this year, as a nod to the 80s, and shoes won’t be an exception. Find something with a little pizazz to complete your look.
