Yesterday was the annual release of Starbuck’s infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte. (And yes I did get one, although it was 80 degrees out, so I opted for the Frappe form of the drink) This must mean that fall is finally upon us.
While I admit that I’m already missing the carefreeness and warmth of summer, the clothes in fall are THE best. There’s no argument about it, layering sweaters and ripped jeans makes me happier than anything. This autumn is all about 70s and 90s vibes, so I’ll show you some pics that are inspiring my wardrobe right now. Btw If you click on the pics you can see the little captions I wrote about them.
This is hands down my favorite trend that I’ve seen so far this fall. I love wearing dresses, but in the fall it gets too cold to wear them. Layering a slip dress over a long sleeve like this is an adorable way to look cute and stay warm.
I actually bought a double buckle belt the other day and I LOVE IT. I’m not a huge belt person, but I know that the right one can really polish an outfit. This 70s inspired trend works with just about anything, from shirt dresses to your favorite jeans.
Oh my god. How cute are these?? They’re block-heeles, suede, AND the quintessential autumn color, maroon.
Obviously, I can’t do an inspiration post without using my role model, Aimee Song. It took forever to find just one outfit picture to use, but I finally settled on this beautiful coat and ripped jean combo.
Metallic is big this fall, and wearing an accessory in your hair is a subtle way to be on trend and keep it classy.
From what I’ve seen so far, turtlenecks are going to be big this fall. I love this unexpected combo of a turtleneck and leather jacket paired with a comfy skirt and sneakers.
