Chicago, land of the Bears and deep dish pizza. Well, that’s all I thought Chicago was until I finally visited the Windy City.
I did and saw so much that I couldn’t possibly tell you all of it in a little introduction. So here’s a mini travel diary for my trip to Chicago.

The first day we were in Chicago, we went to the Navy Pier. It was BEAUTIFUL and there were an abundance of cute little shops and restaurants. But, my favorite part had to be this amazing view of the skyline.

At the Navy Pier, we rode this huge ferris wheel, after an hour wait in line of course. It was worth the wait though, with the skyhigh view and peaceful movement.

I didn’t include pictures but after dinner on the Pier, we took an architecture cruise through the river in the city, and watched fireworks afterwards. Needless to say, it was a dream come true.

The next day, we went to the Art Institure of Chicago. These two paintings are from my favorite artist of all time, Claude Monet. We ended up going to the Chicago aquarium afterwards, where I didn’t take any pictures, if you were wondering.

I happened to walk by this talented band playing on the sidewalk and listened to them for a bit. Just another cherry on the mint chocolate chip ice cream.

We visited the Skydeck at the Sears(Willis) tower to start off our last full day in Chi-town. It was one of the most beautiful things I saw while I was here. But be warned, it’s not for the faint-hearted.

Of course, you can’t visit Chicago without seeing the infamous Bean.

After an afternoon of shopping, we stopped by the Alliance Patisserie and I got these delicious macarons. Definitely check it out if you’re ever in town.

To finish off the trip, we ate at The River Roast right next to this breathtaking view of the river. I absolutely loved Chicago and hope to visit again sometime. Let me know of your favorite restaurants, shops, or activities and I’ll try them the next time I come!

XOXO,
